Vysoke Tatry - Short Walks

Short walks to destinations close to settlements (for tourists and families, for recreational or therapeutic purposes). No special equipment is required.

From Strbske Pleso

  • Red trail, on a gently rising course to the tarn Jamske pleso (1 hour, variation of 120 m in elevation)
  • Blue trail, around the mountain lake, then Yellow trail to the FIS sports area (1 hour)

    From Popradske Pleso stop

  • Blue trail, to Popradske pleso (1 hour, variation of 250 m)

    From Stary Smokovec

  • Blue trail, to base of Slavkovsky stit, then Red trail to Hrebienok, then Green trail back to Stary Smokovec (2 hours, variation of 300 m)
  • via incline plane up to Hrebienok, then Green trail to the waterfall Studeny potok, then Blue trail to the mountain meadow of Starolesnianska polana (formerly "Kamzik polana") toward Reinerova utulna, then Red trail to the waterfall Obrovsky vodopad (1 hour, variation of 150 m)

    From Tatranska Lomnica

  • Green trail to cableway station Start, then Blue trail to meadows at the tree line (1 hour, variation of 200 m)
  • Yellow trail from the cableway to meadows near Matliare, then back via the road Cesta Slobody (1-1/2 hours, variation of 50 m)

    From Zdiar

  • Green trail to the Magura hostel, then along the brook Bela to the ski lift in Strednica (1 hour)

    From Javorina

  • Blue trail to Polana pod Muranom (45 minutes, variation of 110 m)

    From Lysa Polana

  • Blue trail along the brook Biela voda to the gamekeeper's building, then to the mountain meadow near Rozpadliny (1 hour, variation of 50 m)
