The Museum of the Tatras National Park features exhibits describing
the region's natural history, history and ethnography.
Founded in 1957, the museum focuses on the character of the
mountains' environment, the issues of protecting that environment
and the human story of life in the Tatras.
The natural history displays guide the visitor through the
geology, flora and fauna of the region, while the other exhibits
explain the way of life of those who have dwelt here, showing
their customs, arts and history.
The museum, located in Tatranska Lomnica, is open daily year round:
Monday - Friday: 8:00-12:00 a.m. and 01:00 - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday: 8:00 - 12:00 a.m.
